Jake's birthday....

He woke up about 7:15, a little late for him but he needed the extra sleep. Usually the first thing he says is "Mommy, where is my Daddy?" but yesterday he said "Mommy, my birthday isn't downstairs yet." I guess he htough it would be like Christmas or Easter. So we got dressed and had waffles with peanut butter, sliced cheese, oatmeal, and milk for breakfast and he picked Cars to watch (usually it is something both he and Callie would like.) Then he went to his Mee Maw/Pee Paw's house where my brother and family were and I ran a few last minute errands...like back to my house to wrap his gifts. So when we got home, he saw them (birthday's here!) He has also seen his cake that his Mee Maw made him too. We waited all day for Daddy to get off work and finally at 4:30, we got to open presents. That boy had some funny phrases!! He was like an old woman opening gifts!! Then we had a favorite dinner, hotdogs and french fries and then off to the boat so he could do his 'tummy rider' (towable raft) for the first time this year. He went on it with his 14 year old cousin Maggie who said he had her in tears he was so funny. Shane didn't drive the boat very recklessly at all but apparently Jake was screaming "This is CRAZY man!" Then we did a little wakeboarding while he cheered (and jeered) us on and back to the house for cake and to play with his toys. As he loves to say at the end of the Shy Little Kitten "It was the best day ever!"
